: I recommend 7x50mm, and 11x80mm for standard use for astronomical purpose, but if you really to do serious stargazing you might consider 20x100mm or larger. Thanks Koichi Ito for your recommendation. I intend to use the binoculars in conjunction with a telescope, but for the moment I am looking for a good all-purpose pair. By the way, do you know anything about the Scanner brand?
