: : Einstein predicted that if a body moves at the speed of light : : has a mass increase. If the same body stops at some point : : would the extra mass will be converted back to energy or it : : accumulates in the body with new increased mass? : if the mass of and object traveling at the speed of light, increases in mass,it upon stopping, this mass would return to energy being bled off in slowing the object.the mass would be equal to the ammount of energy used to gain the velocity of light. Thank U Jeffery, for the reply. Actually, i am really confused by the concept of mass increase. Say for example, an iron ball is moving at the speed of light, now the extra mass accumalted during the flight is in the form of iron or some other element?? There is one more question on relativity on 'Blackhole Forum II' tiltled 'Black holes and Relativity'. Please send your comments |
