Walter, I have a Tak FS-102 and for a small scope with "killer optics" it is just remarkable. I have a friend with a Meade 5 inch "apo" and putting the two side by side there's no comparison when you want pure "apo" optics. The AP Traveler is another incredible scope! Granted, both scopes cost a little more but too each his own. I seriously would have considered Ceravolo's or Intes 6"-8" Mak-Newtonians if I had known much about them when I purchased my first scope. The Mak-Newtonian design has some of the best features. As for Mak-cass scopes, Meade's 7inch has gotten some "darn good" ratings from individuals I have talked to and articles I have read about the scope.
