Update Autostar 497 Software

I just picked up a used Meade ETX90-EC that came with the Autostar 497. I am a newbie and am wondering the following:
1. Has anyone updated their Autostar [I figure mine is 2 years old
2. Suggestions for picking up another eyepiece or two or filter [or 2]. I currently only have a 26 mm eyepiece. Suggestions on where to buy them?
