I have not tried to follow all the pro/con arguments. But it seems that one of you has reinvented Noether's Theorem. Mathematical physicists have long ago embedded such symmetry in their high-powered theories. It may be that a particular aspect of the Noether Theorem-based theories would be equivalent. The Fisher Theorem also seems relevant. Think I'll google it.
