In the definition of dimension I use space to refer as the medium in which the position is obtained that's why space is in the end of the sentence.If you like I can remove it and t won't make the definition wrong.It will just make more unclear.
ow,what you don't understand about matter?It moves in space,it curves it,but it doesn't defines it's structure,it's geometry-yes,but its structure?That's why it does not affect our concept of space.
