Hi Sheila,

Your eyepieces sound fine to get you started. What you want to do is make sure your mirrors are aligned or "collimated". If they are not collimated your images will not be at their best.
I use a lazer collimator & I think it does a great job. If you have a local Astro club they can show you how to do your collimation. Color or nebula filters are always a good addition. If you want to photograph anything other than the moon you will need some sort of clock drive for longer exposures.
