Gravity - Does It Suck Or Not?

Just a brief question:

If I am standing on Earth and its center of gravity is at its center, and I move my center of gravity, by moving from one foot to the other, is this movement (which is constrained by the Earth's gravity but not limited to it) going with gravity or against it or neither (and therefore happening in space)?
