Flashing Light In The Sky

I have asked several people and no one really knows what to tell me and I know next to nothing about Astronomy... So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what it is that I saw...:

I am In Pennsylvania travelling east on Interstate 76 on Friday the 22nd of August when in front of me the sky flashes from its normal color to a teal green and then pink and then back to normal.. This all happens in about the time it takes to blink and then all is quiet again... I would love to know what this was that I saw... maybe someone out there knows...
