Thanks for your feedback. It sounds like since my scope is not a huge light bucket that this filter is not going to help me much. I don't have much of a problem with the planets but I was hoping that this would help me locate the deep sky objects better. I am going to the local astronomy groups dark sky site this weekend and I am going to sending in my membership application soon. It sounds like I might be better off getting to know some of the members of the group then see if I can borrow a filter like this from one of them to see if it helps me at all before I invest the money into it. Thanks again for your advise.
