"Sync: The Emerging Science of Spontaneous Order" by Steven H. Strogatz?

i haven't read it but read a review of it in i think it was Newsweek.

the idea is that order plays a part in the fundamental rules of the universe. examples were given in the review of everything from animal life, Boise Enstien condensates, the cosmos, human affairs to consciousness.
the author i believe is a mathematician, a professor at Cornell University.
