How Would A Big Bang Eminate From A Black Hole?

still haven't gotten a hold of "Elegant Universe" but some thoughts did occur. seems i've heard of something along these lines.
bang, crunch, bang, crunch .....
i guess the idea is after a bang, as a universe evolves it creates more and more black holes, some think that most galaxies have super massive black holes associated with them. so i guess after a long time and some critical number of black holes have formed the whole universe under the influence of all of these black holes might curve in on its self forming one singularity that has swallowed up the entire universe. then comes the bang again? just an idle guess here..
