I was wondering the other day... what makes matter, matter? I came up with only one answer: it has mass. I know this might be wrong, but I would also like a list of characteristics that something (boy, I just realized, every time I think of 'something', I think of some type of matter...) MUST have to be matter. I say 'must' because there are many properties that dark matter has but 'normal' matter does not. I am hoping someone (or more!) will give me a list of properties that ALL matter most have to be 'matter'.

Thank you all,
Zachary Mansell
