Opinions On The Galileo Telescopes?

When asked by my mother what I wanted for Xmas this year.....I replied that I wanted a telescope. I didn't really expect her to go out and get one for me but she did. What she got me was a 3.2" reflector made by Galileo. She decided to give it to me early so I got a hold of it yesterday. I took it out last night and attempted to do some observing. The scope seems to be of less than good quality. I was having to push the scope past the objects that I was observing so that when it pushed back, it would sort of line up. I guess I am hoping to get some opinions on what other people think about the Galileo telescopes. I also wanted to find out if this behavior is normal for a telescope or did I just get a cheap scope?

Thanks,
Michael Robbins
