A particle called the tachyon has been theorized. It moves faster than the speed of light, but cannot slow down to exactly the speed of light. It is like a mirror image of normal particles. However, its existance has not been proven. (A weird property of them is that time actually starts with the end of the universe and ends with the Big Bang).
