how did you make the declination motor for $30??

Gil

: : I purchased an LX-10 in November 97. This was : after considerable research into competing scopes. The only scopes that really compete with the LX-10 are other Meade scopes, I agree with Mr. Teseny that the LX-50 is a nicer scope. I do however question his mathematics- the LX-50 with a wedge and tripod is approx. $500 more than an LX-10. : Anyway, I'm very pleased with the LX-10. The optics are very good, with a uniform airy disc around stars. I added my own declination motor, which cost $30, and I am now investing in eyepieces and a barlow. Also bought a piggyback bracket and I am machining a counterweight and rail. Good Luck!
