Here's some help. You can find the answere to the first question anyplace they have a beginner astronomy section. Try www.astronomy.com they have a section that describes the differen't types of telescopes. There are plenty of other places you can the same information. Next go to any of the big manufactures, Celestron, Orion, Meade etc. Look at the specs on the 60MM refractor, they usually list the limiting magnitude. Those sights will also have a section on the different scopes. Good Luck;
