I have never used a telescope in my life but it has been a life-long dream to have one...which will come true when i get paid this friday!!! The telescope that is the object of my desire is the 'Orion Europa 10" f/4.8 reflector'. But...as a have dont know that much about astronomy (yet!!!) i would like expert advice...

-Is this a good telescope?

-What eye-pieces/Barlow should i get? (it comes with 9mm & 25mm)

-Will the short focal length mean i have to spend ages collumating-would i be better off with 8" f/6 (I am willing to learn!)

-I understand the Moon filter, but are all the colour ones much use?

-Any suggestions on accessories or any helpfuld 'first-timer' tips?

I will welcome all comments and advice,

Cheers, Ben
