What Can You See?

I have the Celestron 114GT, and see what you have described. To get color you would likely need a larger scope (aperture). Pictures you see, with color, are taken using long exposure, so the color comes through. Or so I believe.

As far as aligning the scope, do you have the "GoTo" controller? If so, your model number may be incorrect. When I first got mine, I entered the 114 model number and the alignment was at least 45 degrees off!
