The Tosco is at the low end of the Telescope Totum poll. The mounts are usually shaky and the Optic generally poor. But they are readyly available in department stores so many people wind up with them. They are useable. You can see the Planets and the Moon for sure. Some Deep Sky objects are available, but if the optics are poor they won't look so good. 114mm is a good size starter scope if it works well. Use it, let us know how you do with it.
