Well, my new skywatcher 8" f6 reflector arrived today. It took about an hour to assemble. It seems to be well built but I dont have any scopes to compare it to. Right off the bat I found Saturn and saw the division of its rings. Its not saying much but it sure impressed me, especially the Moon view. But I now know why people use moon filters, its hard to watch very long. I have a few questions for everyone. What is the highest power eye piece you would use with a scope this size? Is it worth it to get a 2" eyepiece, my scope has an adaptor for it? Lastly, I have a 2X barlow but when I use it I see no difference. Any ideas. thanks everyone. P.S. Why is my name in red CAPS on my first post?
