but I never knew I wanted to be an astronomer until after I read Brian Greene's Elegant Universe. Although I did not understand the full scope of the book, Im not too educated in particle physics, I found it very interesting how he compared/contrasted the minute to the infinity. The only thing that worries me is that in highschool I was very unmotivated and so I did not excel in math. I have been, however, very good in elementary math skills.(Being able to calculate multiplication, ect. in my head) Are physics and math classes needed for astronomy basically memorizing formulas? What is a good school in California to attend for astronomy? I am 22 years old and have been working at my current job for about 4 years, and I really do not love it. I want to do something I love, and I think astronomy might just be that. I guess I just need a little push, so what do you guys think?
