RA Vs GHA

For navigating and for me (Weatherforcasting)it's best to use GHA.

A nautical Almanac has the ephemerides for the bright stars and the sun and moon. It uses the Longitude and latitude of a celestial object. You make the corrections for the latiude and longitude where you live and it will give you the time it passes your meridian.

Once you have grasped that, you can learn how to switch the place for the time and that tells you the latitude and longitude of the place you live. (a+b=c. Therefore......)You do the maths.

Historically the RA is the way that time has been measured since Noah and possibly beyond. Genesis chapter 7, I think. You do the maths.

Staying with the bible, I don't know if your class will find this interesting....

There is a difference of just under 4 minutes between the stellar RA and the solar RA. So in 1 year there is a difference of.....

You do the maths. It gives you the "Day for a year" time period of biblical prophecies.
