gee shucks I feel really ignorant for asking these questions, but I'm eager to learn, so here goes... how exactly did Captain James Cook use the stars/planets to navigate? Did he use a different (new) method (to previous explorers)? Does this mean that what I see in the sky tonight is the same as what would be seen on the other side of the planet (at night)? Is that the key? Help me out here, please, I'm really eager to learn more.
