The same principle for connecting a camera / video to a telescope should also apply to microscopes.
Have a look in the astrophotography section for suggestions and tips for taking pictures using the afocal method (pointing the camera down the eyepiece!).
PC requirements will depend on what you are trying to do.
Alternatively consider a dedicated video cam with its own processor and monitor.
The ad section in sky & telescope magazine may give you some ideas.
