i went to a talk at the carnegie institute in DC regarding the expansion of the universe. In this talk, evidence was given to support the fact that not only will the universe expand forever, but it is accelerating. A new term, at least for me, was introduced to explain it....it is dark energy. I was wondering if anybody had any views about this. Also...does anyone think this dark energy is related to Higgs Field.
