during the infancy of the geocentric model was it believed that planets maintained the same speed throughout their orbit or was it infered that they move faster or slower depending on where they were at in their orbit which is the current understanding. we now know that planets move slower during the aphelion vs. when they are at perihelion. i am curious if this was dicovered after the days of kepler and brahe or if it was believed by them that planets have different velocities during their orbits.
