Any reflector, either on a tripod or Dobson mount, would be difficult because the focuser is at the top of the tube and require standing. You may want to consider a Schmidt-Cassegrain or Maksutov-Cassegrain where the focuser is at the lower end of the tube and the view can be from a sitting position. The ETX line from Meade comes with a table mount; i.e. you can place the scope on a table. Another possibility is a refractor with an adjustable height mount (you can also have Schmidt and Maksutov Cassegrains equiped with this type of mount).

This response is quite a bit late in realtion to your post and I hope that you have found it. Another telescope that would be suitable in relation to ease of use for you is an Edmund's Scientific AstroScan (you can mount it on a table)
