This night, Jupiter and Saturn were clear and sharp. Venus showed spikes of light coming off the image just like a cartoon star or a special effects lens even with the opening on this Newt blocked to reduce the glare.

Would a filter help me to see Venus without the "garnish"?

Scope: Celestron c4.5, 4.5" mirror, 25 mm ep,900 mm fl, f11

Thanks, Alejandro
