I am the now not-so-proud owner of a 4.5" newtonian reflector (EQ mount) and am planning a major upgrade. I'm more of a star hopper so I've been looking at the Dobsonian mounts. Anyway, my major decision is wether to go with the 8" or the 10" Dob for only $150 more. The weight difference is great but I'm sure I could handle it if I would get that much more from the 10". Any type of feedback would be appreciated. Also, has anyone had any experiece with Orion's Skyquest XT series?
