I JUST RECENTLY BOUGHT A 90MM SHORTUBE WITH AN EQ-2 MOUNT AND TRIPOD. I LOVE THE SHORTUBE FOR A QUICK LOOK SCOPE AND THE TRIPOD IS WOODEN AND IS EXTREMELY STABLE FOR THE SIZE OF THE SCOPE BUT THE TRIPOD-MOUNT DOESN`T COLAPSE NOR DOES IT HAVE A LEVEL. ALSO THE 1/4-20 ADAPTER, WHICH IS SUPPLIED DOESN`T HAVE A REAL ACCURATE WAY TO KNOW IF THE TUBE IS MOUNTED SQUARELY OR NOT BUT THE FOV IS SO BIG THAT I HAVEN`T FOUND IT TO BE A PROBLEM FOR VISUAL OBSERVING. I QUESTIONED THE WOODEN LEGS INSTEAD OF THE USUAL METAL TYPE BUT THEY WORK VERY WELL.
