There is one place to consider. Orion. They have a mount called a Sky View Deluxe EQ mount that can handle your type of scope with ease. The drive system for that mount is adaquate for what you`d like in a mounted scope. The DS series scopes from Meade aren`t that great however. The optics in these scopes are considered standard or a little better, so at least you have that part. I never cared much for theie mount for the DS series. Anyway, the Deluxe mount from Orion is pretty sturdy and can handle the weight of that scope easily. Another mount would be a CG-4. That mount would work for you. Good Luck!!
