TIM,
THERE ISN`T ANY SUBSTUTE FOR LEARNING THE SKY AND SPENDING TIME AT THE EYEPIECE. A DECENT MAP IS NESSARY AS WELL AS A KNOWLEDGE OF THE CONSTELLATIONS. THERE ARE SOME SITES THAT HAVE SKETCHES OF OBJECTS AS THEY ARE SEEN IN SMALLER SCOPES (2.5" UP TO 12") AND THAT IS WHAT HELPS ME FIND SOME OF THE DIMMER OBJECTS. ALSO, IT DOESN`T DO ANY GOOD TO SEARCH FOR OBJECTS TO FAINT FOR YOUR EQUIPTMENT. KNOWING HOW TO SEE THE OBJECTS IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS KNOWING WHERE TO LOOK. USING AVERTED VISION TAKES PRACTICE. I`M STILL LEARNING BUT I`M GETTING BETTER AT IT. PRACTICE...PRACTICE...PRACTICE

CLEAR SKYS
