Just noticed your responses (i do email at work - too many lists, too little time)

Thanks for the response - it is worth trying. The only other workable option i know of is to get the hinged rings from Parallax instruments, but these babies arent cheap. About $170 (street) for the hinged rings, and about $400 (ouch) for the rotating rings. At that price i`d probably prefer to put the money toward a better scope.
