Not sure about rips, but there are those molecular clouds. Here are a couple of links.

Way back when I was a hatchling i believe they were called voids, talk about endless sea.

If you want to talk really really really big voids, that would be the space between galaxzys. sorry no links, but you might have a look at

which has a lot of info, even beyond the nine planets.
