Just a note for those persons who decide to make dew heaters for a telescope or an eyepiece. More than likely you will end up running direct from the 12V PS and not using a controller which can save on the power.
I found this site http://www.qkits.com in Kingston Ontario,CAN. which sells a DC to Pulse Width Modulator Kit for $24.99 CDN. It will be about half the price in the U.S.
The one catch is that you get all the components, circuit board and have to construct it yourself. You would also need a project box to install it in but that would only cost a few dollars, available from Radio Shack.
The kit number is K8004. Check it out, it`s a real bargain considering a controller from Kendricks cost $90 CDN or $70 U.S.
