As a matter of fact I just bought a 12.5" starfinder.

I put an Orion 2" rack & pinoin focuser on it. It works great but I need more infocus with my new binoviewer so I ordered a JMI NGF dx3 with motofocus.

The 2" Orion is all metal. It will work fine on your 6" starfinder. I`ll sell it to you for $80. It would cost you $118 new.
