Neither. If you know nothing at all about astronomy, get a good beginner's book (I have "Nightwatch" by Terrance Dickensen which is good for starters.) and some good 7x50 or 10x50 binoculars. If you have already outgrown binoculars (here's a test: can you find M13 with them? If you can, you have probably found much more. If not, then try to find M13 first.), then the only telescope for $200 that anyone recommends is Stargazer Steve's 4 in Dob. E-mail me if you have more questions. -Nathan356
