While attending a telescope viewing session in Kirkwood Ski Area, CA on the evening of July 1, about 25 people saw a very bright bolide with a sizzling skirt and tail trail from the western horizon to the eastern horizon. It stole the show and M 51 paled in comparison to such a dazzling display. What a trip! Anyone else see it?
