I myself am having the same problem with RS3 and I use Win98. I think there is a bug or two in the main program. Sometimes it freezes while loading or it won`t load at all. I found that by restarting the computer it will start right up. If you are playing their little movies which are in Quick or Realtime mode, sometimes the buffer needs to be expanded. Contact RS3 folks, they might help you.
