: Some of the things you are describing is a form of Astrology, not Astronomy. Though both are slightly related, there many differences. The lines on the constellations are imaginary. They have been there for centuries. Astronomers use constellation lines as references to distance and location. Amatuer astronomers use the lines on star maps to help find certain stars and objects by using the lines as directions and star plots. That's all. What you have described is a form of seasonal, month by month, astrology/astronomy star (constellation) maps. Quite common. Astrology is a philosophy, astronomy is a science.
