I live in northern Nevada and about two years ago I was out in the desert looking for a dark sky site to do some viewing and astrophotography. I was looking at a promising site when I was approached by a ranger. It turned out that I was on a Indian reservation and I was sited. I went to federal court yesterday and recieved $2500.00 fine and two years probation. I suggest that no one go onto Indian lands, you can be arrested at their wim and anything that you do there is considered under federal and tribal law. you don't stand a chance.
