Of course this a good warning. But old news. Basically the folks that do this sort of thing are in it for the money, but most of them stipulate that it is a novelty item. Which it is. For some people that are ignorant of such things, don't care. Just the fact that they have a "plaque" and a piece of paper that says that a star is named after someone dear to them is touching enough. Most of them realize that it really isn't official. Unfortunatley there are a few "Star naming" groups that are prety cheesy and have no regard for the rules. It is a good thing to know that star naming is a novelty, but for some folks it doesn't really matter.
