: Post your thoughts on time travel here.. the possibility : of time travel. The problem with infinite mass at speed : of light and the black hole theory Infinite mass at the speed of light is not the generation of heavy complex molecules. Increase of mass at the speed of light is energy mass. In other words at the speed of c your mass increase is in the form of photons. While negative time has been demonstrated mathematically there is no such evidence of the phenomenon. Considering the possibility though and taking in account quantum theory, negative time does not result in a reverse of a reaction that has already occurred. Feynman diagrams use negative time to describe anti-matter, so if time were to be negative, all matter in the locality of where your time is negative would have their anti-matter properties! Electrons would behave as positrons, protons as anti-protons and so on. I also used this example to demonstrate that the negative time phenomena would be local to the space-time experiencing the effect. Reason being that time is relative to a frame of reference. The rest of the universe would continue to move on in a positive direction. So even if you could create a negative time effect you would only affect space-time around you or your time machine. |
