: I'm not sure that I understand your question however I own a ultama 8 and if the problem is that the dec. control is all the way to one end of the threads just leave the dec. lock loose and turn the knob until it is centered on the threads. : The dec. alignment to the earth is adjusted on the wedge per your latitude.
