I just bought a Meade ds-114 also. I set it up, and was trying to look at a bright object (I'm thinking Jupiter, but I'm not completely sure). Looking throught the telescope it was like a long streak across the eyepiece, that I couldn't bring into focus. I was thinking that the mirrors weren't aligned, but I checked and they seemed to be fairly centered. Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? |
