I happened to observe an extremely bright star about midway up in the Northeast sky at about 6:00 am. I reside in Mid-Missouri, in the United States (38* North).

Does anyone know what this was? I couldn't find anything in my Astronomy textbook. . .

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any ideas.
