Hermetic stars is a subject that is quite popular in Occult "magic". I have seen many references of hermetic stars or "pointer" stars in Occult subjects. I do know that a while back I read that Orions Belt was called "The Three Wise Sisters" in Wiccan or something or other witchcraft. Also I read that in Romanian folklore that Sirius was the eye of the devil and was worshipped by pagans. Also gypsies have certain magical "spells" involving stars & planets. In the Moors mythical lore Gemini "the twins" were regarded as the eyes if "Shia'tan" (Satan) in Arabic. Go to Occult resources. I bet you can find things there.
