| Buying First Telescope Via Mail-order

Greetings! I'm a portuguese beguinner astronomer. I've been surfing the net gathering information about telescopes and I've been finding some people that had problems with their telescopes that they buyed via mail-order. My problem is that in my country I can't find good scopes at an affordable price, so I'll probably have to buy them via mail-order. I've decided that I'm going to buy one of these Scopes: -Celestron G8 Schmidt cassegrain -Meade 8" lx10 Which one of these are better? Where can I find a serious Company so that I wount be ripped of? Can I have some feed-back of astronomers that bought their scope via mail-order? Thanks in advance! Antonio |
