Like I was saying before, either one will do nicely. Astrophotography will take less equipment and can be a challenge at times. But the rewards of taking one good image is very satisfying. If you opt for the CCD, be prepared to spend more bucks. More equipment to handle, and that equipment has to be by the scope. Kind of a hassle unless you do all your CCD works at home. Either scope will accomadate well for either type of photography. They were almost designed that way in the first place. Good Luck in your choice, I'm sure you will not be let down. Have fun!!
